Hello everyone my name is Allison Perrymond, a young black woman, born and raised in the inner city of Cleveland, OH. As a kid, I didn’t know the real struggles my parents were facing because they made it look easy. Now that I am old enough to understand, I know that it wasn’t easy at all. It breaks my heart to see what they had to go through and continue to go through to keep their heads above water for us and themselves. I see so many people who look like me that I know are way more than their circumstances. My people need lifting and if I can be the one to give them that boost, I will do the best I can to make sure they get the best resources possible. We are more than our struggles.
